Group Classes offered at:
Fundamentals of Flexibility, (a gentle/beginner yoga style class) Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Greater Rock Fitness Center in Bellows Falls, VT. Our goal is to make each practice yours, focusing on your unique physical needs and abilities. Rise2yoga is for those who want a personalized practice. Whether you are new to yoga, never practiced, going through physical changes (pregnancy, illness/injuries, menopause…), seniors, or looking for personal attention private classes can be very beneficial.
Traditionally, yoga was taught one-on-one providing a setting in which your needs and level could be addressed. Yoga postures (asanas) and breathing exercises (pranayama) are practiced and developed to meet your style. Learning and practicing postures and pranayama at your own pace and within your own range is the most effective way to realize the benefits of yoga.
Yoga at your desired location with your own private yoga teacher allows you to practice at a time that suits you best. The private yoga classes are designed to meet your needs and goals. In addition private yoga lessons allows more time for the teacher to give you the attention needed to develop and deepen your practice at your own pace. Practices are guided by verbal instructions, imagery, demonstration, and hands-on directions allowing you to explore yoga in a way that is practical and beneficial. Strength, balance, flexibility, and endurance are developed incrementally and gradually, not by force. Through a gradual and gentle approach experience how the subtle power of yoga works with all aspects of your being, physical, psychological, and spiritual. Rediscover and enjoy your natural strength, suppleness, vigor, and health through yoga developed specially for you.
The instructor’s approach is to teach Yoga guiding each person in developing a practice that is relevant to her or his own body and life experience. Most importantly, she teaches you to work with your body by being responsive to the signal of your body in the present.
